Private Preview

Definition: Feature exists but is invitation-only. Limited to select pilot customers or internal testing.

Key Characteristics:

• Available only to specific partners

• Requires manual intervention from Product/Engineering to enable

• May have bugs or incomplete functionality

• Used for validation and early feedback collection

• No public documentation

Public Preview (Beta)

Definition: Feature is available to all customers but considered beta/experimental. Customers can enable it themselves in their admin settings.

Key Characteristics:

• Self-service enablement through admin panel

• Clearly marked as "Beta" or "Preview" in the UI

• Still actively collecting feedback and iterating

• Time-bounded (define specific duration guidelines)

• Minimal documentation

Generally Available (GA)

Definition: Feature is production-ready and fully supported. Customers can independently enable and use without our team's involvement, or the feature rolls out without enablement.

Key Characteristics:

• May be enabled by default for new customers (unless institution-specific)

• Full product support and SLA coverage

• No preview flags or beta warnings

• Public documentation
