Stellic gives you a clear view of your academic progress and helps you plan your path to graduation. Here's everything you need to know to get started.

What is Stellic?

Stellic is your academic planning tool. Use it to:

Quick Tour: A few highlights

There are so many things you can do in Stellic. Your institution may use all or some of the functionality you see in this reference. Here are the most commonly used features!

Track Progress

Shows how close you are to completing your requirements, so you always know exactly where you stand toward graduation; no surprises.

How to use it:

  1. Click the Track Progress tab

  2. View your progress bar to see completed, registered, planned, and remaining courses

  3. Scroll through your requirements to see what's left

  4. Toggle between Official (completed/registered only) and Planned (includes future courses you've mapped out)

Look for the icons next to each requirement to see at a glance if you've completed, are currently taking, or still need to plan for completion.

Plan your Path

Lets you map out which courses you'll take each term and catches prerequisite conflicts early, so you can plan a balanced semester load before registration opens.

How to use it:

  1. Click the Plan Your Path tab

  2. Look at the Remaining Requirements on the right - these are courses or requirements you still need to take. You'll also see Progress and Search Courses.

  3. Drag courses from the sidebar into future terms.

    1. You can also create a placeholder - placeholders let you reserve requirement “slots” in your plan before picking specific courses.

  4. Stellic will warn you if:

    1. You're missing a pre-requisite

    2. The course isn't likely to be offered that term

  5. Rearrange courses by dragging them between terms until your plan looks right

Schedule Term

Builds your actual weekly schedule with specific course sections and real-time conflict checking, so you can find a schedule that works for your life.

How to use it:

  1. Click the Schedule Term tab (only available if your institution has released the course schedule)

  2. Click a time slot in the weekly calendar view

  3. See available course sections that fit that time

  4. Hover over the + to preview how the section fits your schedule

  5. Click + to add it

To change sections:

  • Click the dropdown arrow on any course in your schedule

  • Hover over alternative sections to preview them

  • Click to switch to a different section

Your Dashboard

When you log in, you'll see your Home Dashboard with:

  • Current programs

  • This term's schedule

  • Recent messages from your advisor

  • Academic calendar

Use this as your home base for quick check-ins.

Working with Your Advisor

Your advisor also uses Stellic! Come to meetings prepared by:

  • Reviewing your progress in Stellic

  • Planning out potential course options

  • Bringing specific questions

This makes your advising time more productive - less time explaining where you are, more time getting actual advice.
