Student notes
Access notes from the Notes tab in a student's profile. Notes include your entries, other advisors' entries, and auto-generated notes from actions like exceptions or appointments.
Create a note
Click the Notes tab.
Select a note type (see below).
Write your note.
Set visibility.
Save.
Tag someone: Type @ and search for a name. You can only tag users who have permission to view the student's record.
Add attachments: Click "add attachment" below the text box. You can add up to 5 files per note (max 5MB each). Supported formats: PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX.

Note: If you set a note's visibility to include the student, they're notified automatically. If you add student visibility later by editing, the student won't be notified unless you tag them with @.
Manage notes
Edit: Click "edit" next to your note to change visibility or content (you can only edit notes you created)
Delete: Hover over your note and click the X
Comment: Add comments to continue a conversation; tag users with @ to notify them
Filter: Filter by note type, author, or auto-generated notes
Concerns
Concerns can be assigned to a user or group and marked as resolved. Only the creator or assignee can resolve a concern.
To find students with concerns, go to Student Search and use the Notes filter to search for "Active Concerns" or "Resolved Concerns."
Templates
Create templates to standardize note-taking:
In the Notes tab, click Start with Template.
Choose an existing template or create a new one.
Templates can include a title, description, body text, default visibility, and tags.
Personal templates are visible only to you. Superadmins can create templates available to all staff.
