Approve or deny credits
After reviewing a student's transfer courses, you'll either award credit or indicate that no credit applies. Stellic doesn't have a formal "denied" status - courses are either completed (with or without credit) or remain pending.
Award transfer credit
To approve a course and add it to the student's audit:
Open the student's profile and go to the Transfer tab.
Click Edit next to the course.
Search for and select the target course.
Verify the grade, credits, and term are correct.
Click Save articulation.
Change the status to Complete.
Click Lock to finalize.
Once marked complete, the course appears in the student's degree audit.
Deny transfer credit
When a course shouldn't receive credit, you have two options:
Option 1: Complete with no credit awarded
Click Edit next to the course.
Save the articulation without selecting a target course.
Change the status to Complete.
Lock the articulation.
The course displays as "No credit awarded." Students see that their course was reviewed and no credit applies.
Option 2: Remove from transcript
If the course shouldn't appear at all:
Click Edit on the transcript.
Delete the course.
Save your changes.
Use this when a course was uploaded in error or doesn't belong on the student's record.
What students see
Your institution controls whether students see pending articulations or only completed ones.
Show only completed articulations
Students see awarded credits only. Pending courses are hidden until reviewed.
Show all articulations
Students see everything, including pending items waiting for review.
This setting is configured in the Admin Panel under transfer settings.
Unlock an articulation
If you need to modify a locked articulation:
Click Unlock on the articulation.
A confirmation modal appears warning that unlocking may result in changes being overridden if the course is re-articulated by the institution.
Click Unlock to confirm.
Note: Any unsaved changes in the articulation editor will be lost when you unlock.
Lock vs. complete
These are currently separate actions:
Complete
Awards (or denies) credit. Course appears in the student's audit.
Lock
Prevents future equivalency rule changes from affecting this articulation.
We recommend completing and locking together. If you leave an articulation unlocked and later update the equivalency rule, the change will override the student's awarded credit.
